2017 Event Weekend With Sifu Paul Wang

Fresh from the 2017 Spring Camp in beautiful Kaua’i, Sifu Paul Wang, US Chief Instructor of the International Academy of WingChun (IAW), is back in metro Atlanta to offer another event series.  See the schedule below.

Event: Escrima Class

Description: Be a weapon.  Upgrade your personal security. Integrate weapon skills into your body.  Escrima is a perfect complement to WingChun. Coordinate footwork alignments, body dynamics and arm movements into striking, slashing and stabbing with sticks, swords and staffs. Through partner drills that directly lead to combat functionality, you will build explosive speed, extensive balance and expansive power.

Description: Flight or Fight?  Develop greater self-trust. Prepare your mind and body for unexpected violence.  Combat training makes your WingChun techniques more fluid, decisive, and spontaneous. You face attacks that come from any direction while in standing, falling, kneeling, or lying positions. These include clear, strong, rapid responses against various kicks, throws, holds, and locks.

Description: The WingChun Seminar is for training the standard IAW curriculum.  We will also have a special Facebook Live video feed from 2:00-2:30 pm

Sifu Paul Wang is the US Chief Instructor of the International Academy of WingChun (IAW). Drawing upon his academic education in Human Biomechanics and Integrative Biology from the University of California at Berkeley as well as graduate studies in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Physiology, Sifu Wang has taught the IAW system of WingChun to hundreds of students since 1997.

Besides various cities in the United States, he has travelled to teach in England, France, Germany, the Philippines and Taiwan. Because of this extensive career, he was conferred two of the highest distinctions in the IAW — the Sifu of WingChun and the Fifth Technician Grade.  He also has the Espada y Daga rank in Escrima and Combat Instructor certification.

His well-rounded instruction enables students from all backgrounds to access a detailed and effective path of WingChun theory and practice. By presenting knowledge and skills through verbal explanations, active demonstrations and direct contact, you will feel the art come alive.
